Animal Adoptions
THINK ADOPTION FIRST!  There are so many animals available that no longer have homes for various reasons. Be sure to learn as much as possible about the animal you think you want before you bring one home and then visit these organizations to learn more and find out if that is really the best animal for you. I also can assist you in choosing the right pet for you. If you see an animal on Craig's List or others like it, if you are not completely knowledgeable about the animal you want be sure to find help in evaluating the animal.
These organizations specialize in rescuing single breed animals. While some may have other types of animals available, they are very knowledgeable about their specific animal and can fully evaluate every animal that comes to them to make the best match for rehoming. Please let me know if you know of any other adoption organizations that should be included.
